Gerhard N. Müllauer was born in 1951 in Kirchbach / Lower Austria. He lives and works together with the painter Margit J. Füreder in Linz.

Gerhard N. Müllauer is an enthusiastic master of metal. With great dedication, endurance, precision and deliberation he implements his ideas. Some of his sculptures are distinguished from an almost airy lightness - while others are marked by archaic and brazen severity. The wide range of interface design is an essential trademark of his work and always support the proposed statement.
The “books” of Gerhard N. Müllauer are in fact witnesses. The intimate relationship with his material is a prerequisite for the every necessary dialogue with the resulting work. He is one of the few artists I know who does not derive from a being driven, but out of leisure.
