Gerhard N. Müllauer is an enthusiastic and gifted master of metal. He realizes his ideas with great dedication, perseverance, precision and thoughtfulness. Some of his sculptures are characterized by an almost airy lightness - others are characterized by archaic and iron heaviness. The wide range of surface design is also an essential trademark of his work and always supports the intended statement.
Gerhard N. Müllauer's books are contemporary witnesses. For him, the intimate relationship with his material is an absolute prerequisite for the constantly necessary dialogue with the emerging work. He is one of the few artists I know who is not driven but out of leisure draws.
